Up Close with Aaron "Monty" Montgomery & Robb Torres of Trapt
by Courtney Campbell
You couldn't have lived through the year 2002 without hearing their hit single "Headstrong". Fast forward to 2008 and Trapt found a new home with 11-7 and released "Only Through the Pain". After touring last summer on Crue Fest and opening for Hinder, Trapt are now on their headlining tour bringing their sounds to their fans. Earplugsrequired.com caught up with drummer Aaron Montgomery and guitarist Robb Torres when they played the Recher Theatre in Towson, MD.

ER: Compare and contrast new album with previous album - Answered by Monty.

ER: So the first album on Warner Brothers was very successful, went multi platinum. The second went gold, which is good in todays standards.. With this new album how much pressure did you guys put on yourselves to make it as successful as the first? - Monty with interjection from Robb

ER: So how did you end up signing with 11-7?

ER: So with this release you went back to the producer you used on the first, why?

ER: It seemed to me that this album went back to the trapt we knew on the first album.

ER: You did Crue Fest last summer. What was the craziest thing that happened on crue fest - Robb then Monty

ER: Would you want to do a tour like that again? - Monty then Robb

ER:It's the future, you open up the Rock n' Roll Encyclopedia what would you like to read under Trapt?
