Justice March 12th 2008 @ 9:30 Club
by Katherine Gaines
Justice at the 9:30 Club was one of the danciest shows I've seen there. (Its true, D.C. audiences don't generally like to move).

Busy P got the night started with a high energy set of electro and 80s and the crowd responded well. He got plenty of shouting, bouncing, and singing along. However, the energy level fell when rapper Wale came on. It wasn't due to lack of effort, or lack of talent. The few people in the crowd who were familiar with him responded well. He was just the wrong act at the wrong time. The kids wanted Justice!

They were surrounded by stacks of amps seemingly a mile high. They took their time, pulling and twisting the songs, never letting the crowd get too comfortable with a beat. Despite "D.A.N.C.E". actually having less of a thump than other tracks, it was clearly a fan favorite, as was "DVNO".

Xavier de Rosnay and Gaspard Auge led the crowd in a sing-along of "We Are Your Friends". With an entire sold out club singing "you'll never be alone again," it was quite a moment.

Unfortunately a few people had to leave early to catch the metro home, but they certainly enjoyed the time they had with Justice.
