Good Charlotte August 23rd, 2008 @ Sonar
by Courtney Campbell
Well a summer shed tour with Boys like Girls, like everything else, had to come to an end and there shouldn't have been a more perfect spot than "home" for Good Charlotte. They mentioned many times during their set how it was great to end this summer tour at "home" as they ran through their set on August 22nd at Sonar in Baltimore. While it might have been good for them to be home, there was just something missing.

Click for more photos! The show was boring. That energy that we had come to love about this band on stage was just missing. You could tell in the voice of frontman Joel Madden, you could tell in the subdued lighting, and in the performance of the others on the stage; there was something lacking. The audience, while not a sell-out crowd was packed and they too were not feeling the energy. One might be able to chalk it up to the heat in the venue as it was quite warm but even in the unbearable heat of the Vans Warped Tour, this band had packed a crowd that can be at times overwhelming. Bands feed off the audience while the audience feeds off a band and both were not feeling it this night.
