Enter Shikari July 10th, 2009 @ Recher Theatre
by Courtney Campbell
Word out is that the concert industry is hurting but one couldn't tell that if they pulled up alongside the Recher Theatre in Towson MD on the 10th of July. With a line wrapped around the building this show was easily going to be a sell-out and shortly after doors opened it was. Tonight's bill included Enter Shikari and earplugsrequired.com was there to catch them in action. Out touring in support of their recently released albumCommon Dreads, Enter Shikari is one of those bands that you can't just pigeon hole and describe with a word or two. They combine many aspects and just keep you wondering what will come next. You will have screaming, singing, synth and dub beats all in one song. This band was pumped up, full of passion and the crowd was rolling right along with them. The only down part about the entire set was that it was too short but with four bands on the bill, that was what was to be. If you haven't heard of them, go take a listen but when they roll through your town, go see them. They have a more raw sound live and are worth checking out.
