When concert-goers arrived at the Electric Factory in Philadelphia, PA on a warm evening in early July 2001, many were surprised to learn of the last minute and not-so-last minute changes to the line-up of bands that would be playing. The tour originally included The Cult, Stabbing Westward and Monster Magnet. A few days prior, Stabbing Westward had exited the tour because drummer Andrew Kubiszweski needed surgery. Up and coming female rocker, Lennon, filled the vacany nicely. On the day of this show, it was revealed Monster Magnet also would not be performing as expected and local Philly band, Isle of Q stepped in.

Performing without much notice, Isle of Q was grateful for the chance to share their music with this hometown audience. Given the task of warming up the crowd, their singles "Bag of Tricks" and "Little Scene" gained immediate recognition. Hailing from Hendersonville, TN, outside of Nashville, Lennon brought with her a powerful voice and a stage presence that far exceeded her years. In her late teens, Lennon's energy, enthusiasm and musical prowess easily won over the crowd. Her debut full-length cd titled, 5:30 Saturday Morning, will arrive in September, with the single "Brake of Your Car" hitting radio in August.

When the first notes of their current single, "Rise," erupted into the room, The Cult began what would be two hours of pure rock and roll. Playing "Breathe" and "Take the Power" from Beyond Good and Evil, as well as favorites from previous albums, they demonstrated that they knew how to satisfy a crowd, which came as no surprise to the many faithful Cult fans in attendance. While thanking the audience for aiding them in doing what they do, singer Ian Astbury commented "these are our lives and we love them."
