Chevelle/Finger 11/God or Julie March 19th, 2008 @ Ramshead Live!
by Michelle Lee
It isn’t often when you go to a concert and like every single one of the bands on the bill, but that’s what happened the other night. Each band on this tour complemented each other nicely and made it a great night for the fans. The evening start off with God or Julie from New York City. This up-and-coming band proved they could hold their own with the rest of the bands that would be playing tonight and got themselves some new fans.

Up next was Finger Eleven, who started off with “Good Times” and most of the set drew from their more recent releases, the self-titled Finger Eleven and Them vs. You vs. Me. Long time fans were also treated to “Above” from their first album. They ended the night with “Paralyzer” mixed with a little of Franz Ferdinand’s “Take Me Out” and Pink Floyd’s “Another Brick in the Wall”.

When you have some many albums, it’s hard to pick what songs to play and you don’t want to just play the singles and Chevelle managed to find a good balance between the singles and some other crowd favorites, such as “Comfortable Liar” and “Forfeit”. And the crowd enjoyed every second of it, whether they were in the mosh pit, dancing on the balcony, or singing along to every word as the three girls up front were, which didn’t go unnoticed by lead singer, Pete Loeffler. Definitely a show worth going to if you get the chance.
