Out of the demise of one comes another. James Hart the frontman of Eighteen Visions didn't waste any time in starting a new project. Originally signed to Island/Def Jam, the label decided to shelve the project so Burn Halo’s manager Bret Bair formed his own label Rawkhead Rekords through Warner Music Group to release the record. James assembled a band and went out to do what he does best, perform in front of a crowd. The band played their first show together as openers for Avenged Sevenfold in Baltimore in December of 2008. From there they have had spots on tours with Rev Theory, Escape the Fate, Avenged Sevenfold/Buckcherry tour and will be on the 2009 editon of Sno Core. Earplugsrequired.com caught up with James Hart prior to a show with Escape the Fate. We have to admit, this band and album is definitely one of our favorites!
ER: So if I were to ask your bandmates to describe you, how would they describe you?
ER:Would that had been different if I had asked you back with 18V?
ER: Early on after the break up of 18V and you had started your own project, you had stated that is was just going to be james hart, you weren’t going to have a band name. so what made you change that?
ER: Now is it a band or is it James with a band behind him?
ER: Now you wrote with Zac (Maloy) and he produced. How did you get hooked up with him?
ER: Now this is what Zac had to say about you :
Plain and simple, James Hart is the real fuckin' deal. He came to Tulsa ready to work his ass off writing and recording and basically bringing it every day. He’s going to win and I’m rooting for him and this band all the way. Very positive things to say about you.
ER: So what did you learn from Zac the producer?
ER: Now how many of the songs did he help write?
ER: Your vocals are so different on all these songs.
ER: I would love to see some of this done acoustically.
ER: Who would you say your influences are?
ER: You have sno core coming up and tonite is a very diverse line up. Who do you think would be the best bands to tour with?
ER: Last question. it’s the future, you open up the Rock and Roll Encyclopedia, what would you like it to say under James Hart?
